Sven Marquardt is bekend om zijn werk als deurman bij de Berlijnse club Berghain, maar hij heeft nog een life on the side. In Berhain vindt hij inspiratie in de nachtelijke sferen en de personages voor z'n werk als fotograaf. Hij begon zijn carrière in de jaren tachtig in Oost Berlijn en daar is zijn fascinatie voor menselijke transformaties ontstaan. He started his career in the eighties in East Berlin and has staged human transformations ever since.
